View of our new location

There are quite a few mockingbirds in this new place.

Mary is a little dog, little dog, little dog

Mary is a little dog and sweet as she can be………..

(Think “Mary had a little lamb”  😊)

We’ve discovered that Mary is surely the campground’s Welcoming Committee and Good Will Ambassador.  This cutie runs around to each site and visits all the newcomers.  I don’t normally care one way or another about dogs, but she won us both over very quickly!  And yes, those of you who know me, also know that I spent roughly 10 years working at a vet’s office.  I like them, I just don’t go crazy over them like some people do.

Mary’s different.

But we still don’t want a dog.

I ventured out today to get my hair colored and cut.  Well, with all the horrifically bad driving around here, Blaine felt better driving me.  Today’s adventure took place at Salon Le Jules.

When I need to find somewhere, I look on-line first.  Try to find places close by that have some good reviews and then offer up a prayer.  Inevitably I feel drawn to a place.  The only time I didn’t do this was in Mogadore when we were home in October.  I just stopped in at a Great Clips that was in Springfield.  Big mistake.  Huge mistake!  What a mess she made of me!  I’m just now recovering, believe it or not.

Anyway, the day of my appointment, I got a call that they had to cancel and reschedule.  I rejected their offer because of time constraints and had just about reluctantly decided to just go to WalMart, (yes, believe it or not we saw a salon when we went grocery shopping) when they called back and offered a later time with a different stylist.

What a nice place!  Christians, too!  I enjoyed the services of the mother/daughter team of Julie (the owner) and Nara (her daughter and apprentice).  They sure did things differently than I’m used to, but the results are wonderful!  And then there’s the fact that they went out of their way to see me, despite knowing that I would only be there for one visit.

I’ve not had much adventure to share lately, but that will change when we go to the US Space & Rocket Center tomorrow!
