It’s A Slow Day 03/07/21

Markham County Park, Sunrise, Florida

So Abraham hurried into the tent to Sarah.  “Quick!  Get three seahs of fine flour and ….bake it.”  Then he ran to the herd and selected a choice, tender calf, and gave it to a servant who hurried to prepare it.  He then brought some curds and milk and the calf… and set those before them.  While they ate, he stood near them under a tree. ~ Genesis 18:6-8        Did you notice that everything Abraham did was hurried?  He rushed to serve his guests.  And then took the posture of a servant, by standing near them, ready to meet any additional needs or desires.  Scripture doesn’t say it, but I’ll bet he was excited to serve them.  And not only that, but he was only interested in providing them with his very best.  Should we do any less for our Lord?

I forgot to mention yesterday that we got new neighbors.  They’re obviously new, because everything they unpacked came out of a box.  It seemed to be three generations enjoying the Park in that small trailer.  The other way we could tell they were new?  They didn’t close up or tie down their awning before they left.  Remember that storm I said came in?  Fortunately, their awning wasn’t ripped to shreds as we’ve seen happen to others in the past four years, but they did have to claim it from the roof, and work a bit on straitening the poles.

This morning, it seems they’re planning on using it for a movie screen.

Just kidding. 😊

For the most part, we stayed in today.  Another busy Sunday at the Park.  We mostly did what we always do – research, blogging, cooking . . .  but today, we also made a few plans for when we visit Blaine’s sister, Sandy and her family in a few days!  We’re very much looking forward to that!

You know it’s a slow day, when the only thing we have to share stems from spying on our neighbors. . . .

Tomorrow promises to be a big day!
