But the angel of the LORD called out to him from heaven, “Abraham! Abraham!” “Here I am,” he replied. ~ Genesis 22:11 I agree with the esteemed commentator, Matthew Henry. This is God Himself – most likely in the form of the pre-incarnate Jesus – who is staying Abraham’s hand. And thankfully, Abraham is quick to respond.
We had a marvelous day with Blaine’s brother Bruce, his wife Donna, her son Gage and Gage’s girl, Morgan! Oh, and don’t forget about Leo – their 19# (Yes. That’s nineteen pounds!) Maine Coon cat. And no. He’s not overweight. Just huge! And gorgeous!
Great food and great company! Who could ask for anything more?
Everything was delicious! She used fresh rosemary from her back yard. Yum!
Morgan, me, Donna
Unfortunately, just as our day was coming to a close, we got a call that Blaine’s mom, Joan was taken to the hospital, where she’ll be in the cardiac care ICU for several days.
We’re going to try to get home a few days early to help out with his Dad, and also her.
Which means, I don’t know when I’ll be getting back to blogging. Possibly not until mid-June. If you don’t see anything by May 3rd, our regularly scheduled time to be home, then there won’t be any posts until June.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers.
