But Esau ran to meet Jacob and embraced him’ he threw his arms around his neck and kissed him. And they wept. ~ Genesis 33:4 Certainly not the greeting Jacob was expecting! God has been at work these past 20 years changing Esau’s heart towards Jacob. We never know how God is working within the hearts and minds of others. Our responsibility is to live at peace with everyone as far as it depends on us (Romans 12:18), and let God handle the rest. That doesn’t mean become a doormat to everyone. It means do all we can to not cause dissention, to live at peace, to turn the other cheek.
I have no idea whatsoever what we did on Halloween, other than listening to The Chapel’s Sunday morning worship service, so here are some pictures of us and Kyle’s family all decked out throughout the last two weeks of October. Enjoy!
