After our day-long drive to Lunenburg and dinner at home, Blaine decided we needed to walk some more. He said, “Let’s walk around the campground.” So we did. Then he said, “Here’s the hiking trail, let’s take a look.” So we did. And we kept walking. Now mind you, I’m wearing flip-flops because I thought we were just strolling around the campground. After almost 38 years of marriage, you’d think I’d know better by now . . .
It was up. And it was rocky. And it was sand, peppered with pebbles. But I bore it with MUCH more grace than the last time. 😊 It seemed to be an old logging road. Here’s the view from the top.
Then we decided to check out Peggy’s Cove again. Just in case there might be another ‘fire in the sky’ sunset. We actually packed birthday cake (Chocolate Caramel Boston Cream!) in our LEE (Lake Erie Electric) cooler (we LOVE that thing!) and took off. It’s only 10 minutes down the road.
No fire in the sky, but just take a gander at these pics Blaine took! With his phone, no less!
And now, you too can watch a sunset at Peggy’s Cove!
I hope you kept reading, because I saved the best for last!
These were taken before we walked/climbed over to our place. Incredible!!!
I only wish this blog could show you the quality pictures we take! These are truly frame-worthy!
