Heavenly     9/19/18

Holland State Park, Holland, Michigan

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these.”  Matthew 19:14

You know, people talk about what Heaven will be like – what it will look like, who we will see, what we will do, and everything in between.  I’ve now determined that Heaven will surely have batch after fresh batch of Bowerman’s Blueberry Cinnamon Rolls.  They are soooo mouthwateringly good, I can’t even describe it for you!  Perfectly baked dough – not hard or dry or spongy or gummy, just the right amount of cinnamon – not too much, not too little, a bit of a cinnamony/blueberry gooey mess on the bottom, a generous portion of icing like we’ve never tasted before – sort of a melted butter/cream cheese concoction, and a few blueberries thrown in because they run a blueberry farm and that’s what they do.

Heaven!

All I can say is, it’s a really good thing we don’t live around here, or I’d soon be shaped like a blueberry!  I think I could eat these every day, twice a day!  Blaine liked them too, but wasn’t quite as ga-ga over them as I was, but then again, he usually only gets like that for ice cream – especially Handel’s chocolate raspberry truffle.  😊

This is them!
I wonder if they ship . . . .

So now that I’ve come back from Cloud Nine, I can tell you about the rest of our day.

There really isn’t much to tell.  We didn’t have to prepare to move until about 11am today, since our drive is really short – only 45 miles.

It was time for a generator run, so he started that as we packed up, then we moved to the humongous empty parking lot they have near the beach as he continued until an hour was up, then we took off and it ran until the two-hour run was complete.

More blueberry fields

Van Buren State Park, South Haven, Michigan

We now find ourselves back in the woods (not the backwoods), with hardly anyone around us.  I don’t know if I mentioned this before, but when Blaine chooses a campground and (if he can) a specific site, he uses Google Maps so he can actually see the site before he reserves it.  I’d say, he chose the very best site in this entire Park!  It’s huge and open – so we can start recording all the Fall shows that start up this week because our satellite dish has clear access to the skies – and there’s only two others camping in this 20-site loop, and they’re down at the opposite end.  The only bad thing?  I have to stretch to my full ability to climb in.  I don’t think we’ve ever sat this high before!  Of course, it’s sand, but the thing is, we’re sitting on our own miniature dune, and the back end is way higher than the front end.  And its sand, so the blocks we put under the front tires kept sinking lower and lower, and the jack pads we put down sank lower and lower, and Blaine had to keep raising us higher and higher so we stay level.  And now, the front wheels are off the ground.

It’s kinda like those cartoons where someone/something steps out their door and falls into open space, so if I’m not careful . . . 😊

There’s beach access from this Park, but when we set out to find it by foot, we discovered it’s a really long way away!  Especially when you add in the walk on the beach.

It’s coming!

This is what we call a “Kyle Sign”.
Those of you who knew our son when he was young, will get it.
I sent it to him and he responded with, “You’ll have to add Harper (his daughter) to that.” Ha!

Our new beach.
A bit more narrow than the last one. Ha!

Google Maps says this is a  nuclear power plant.

That’s as far as we can go.

My rebel husband crossed the line to get this picture. : )

We both agreed that we’d use our bikes from now on.  And we did.  For the sunset.
