Here Comes The Sun     11/16/18

Solitude Pointe Campground, Cleveland, South Carolina

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.  They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. ~ Lamentations 3:22-23

NOTE:  As I prepare this for posting, it’s now November 26th, and we’re traveling on the expressway for the next 3 hours, so I’m working on getting posts ready!

Our eyes were all squinty this morning. “What is that bright light???”

It’s the sun!

This is our morning view when the sun is shining. : )

As much as I like the overcast, dark and dismal skies, it was still really nice to see what sunlight can do to the landscape!  And Blaine needed a good dose of Vitamin D!

I caught him basking at Caesar’s Head.  😊

Yes, you read right.  We left home early to drive up the mountain and see what we could see.  Oh boy!  What we could see!  Just keep in mind, not only is it beautiful it’s also cold!  It was only 30 degrees!

We made a quick stop at Bald Rock on the way up the mountain.

Today’s view from Bald Rock!
That’s Table Rock we’re looking at.

Caesar’s Head
Remember these views from yesterday?

How’d ya like to have that view every morning?
Well, at least when it’s not socked in by clouds . . .

There’s Caesar

On the way back home, we still had some time before we had to pack up and move, so we stopped for some exercise at Wildcat Falls.  Remember that 1.5 mile loop from the other day?  The one where Blaine climbed to the top of the waterfall?  I know, he does things like that a lot, so that’s probably not the best reference.  When you see the pictures, it’ll probably spark your memory.

At any rate, we noticed more water when it came time to cross those streams, requiring further leaps and bounds, and making us wonder if they could’ve been crossed at all yesterday.

It was another shorter drive at just 66 miles and 1 ½ hours.  We probably would’ve arrived sooner, but we sat in Clemson traffic for a good bit.  Hard to imagine these people do this every day!  Crazy!

Some tight turns today . . .

South Cove County Park, Seneca, South Carolina

We are now leasing/renting? Lakefront property! And it’s beautiful!  Blaine said he sees a new blog page header in our future.  😊

This is the Visitor Center/check in for the Park.

Right over there is our new site!

Gorgeous day!
Gorgeous lake!

Here we are!

We are currently residing along the shore of Keowee Lake in Seneca, South Carolina.

Once we got settled, we took a walk.  And more pictures.  : )

And just look at that sunset!
