The Mighty One, God, the LORD, speaks and summons the earth from the rising of the sun to where it sets.  ~ Psalm 50:1

The past twelve days seem like a blur, and yet, it also seems like an eternity.  I’m pretty sure I’ve never been down this long before in my life – not even following surgery!  (My hand doesn’t count because I was fully functional except for the use of my right hand.)

We’re both grateful that I was at least able to manage some outings, and that I continue to improve, but I’m by no means healthy yet.   At least this moving day, I was able to manage most (but not all) of my normal tasks.  😊

After a four-hour, 215-mile drive, we left Georgia behind (for now) and landed in Florida.  Well, it didn’t actually take that long to get to Florida, just our new piece of land.

This truck transports cars.
I saw it on the side as we passed it.

We though this a very interesting street name!

The Florida State Line
Fresh juice is just ahead!

Of course, we stopped at the FloridaVisitor Center for some free orange (Blaine) and grapefruit (Terri) juice!  It was really yummy!  Plus we picked up some brochures, etc. on a few of the places we’ll be in Florida.

That’s Jacksonville

The bridge to Flagler Beach
It reminded us a lot of entering Holden Beach, North Carolina where we vacationed annually for over 25 years.

OK. How many people drove into the drink to warrant this sign?

That’s their pier

Driving down the street
There’s not much wiggle room!

A lovely beach! Can’t wait to see it up close!

Entering the Park

This Park is right on the Atlantic Ocean, however the part we’re in is on the river side.  They do have another section of the campground that’s ocean-view, but those were already booked – especially since only a few will accommodate us.  But it’s lovely here!  And quiet!  And super clean!

We took the bikes to the beach, parked them at an access point, and walked a small portion of the beautiful six miles called Flagler Beach.

Back home, we discussed dinner plans.  There wasn’t much to discuss.  We didn’t have any.  However.  We had seen a sign alongside the road as we drove in that advertised a fish fry tonight, but we couldn’t remember where it was.  Blaine searched on-line with no luck, so I called the desk and the rangers didn’t know either, but thought maybe it was “The Net”.  Blaine looked that up and sure enough – there it was!  It was only a couple of miles up the road, so we rode our bikes to dinner.  That was fun!  And dinner was great and more than enough to eat, and only $6.95!

That’s the sign we saw!

Fries, coleslaw, sourdough garlic bread and a very large piece of fried haddock.
I think between the two of us, we had an entire fish!

They told us tomorrow’s special was liver and onions, but I’m pretty sure we’re really busy and can’t make it.  Bleh!!!!

And what better way to end the day, than with a glorious sunset right from our very own yard!
