Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  ~ Colossians 3:12

Good morning, sunrise!
We have sunrise on the left, and sunset on our right at this location! And great views of both!

We returned to reality today, spending the biggest part of our day in Tampa.  And when I say ‘we’ I mean all of it.  The house, the car, everything.  It’s a little over an hour drive to General RV from our campsite.

Today was the day we took our home in for repairs.  Actually, today was just the diagnostic part, but a girl can hope . . .

If you remember, half our house isn’t currently extending.  We were hoping for an easy fix, but that’s unrealistic since Blaine had already been over and over it.

According to the technicians at the Tampa General RV, it’s a control box that’s the issue, which is what Blaine suspected all along.  They have to order a new one.  And we have to wait.

And make another trip to Tampa.  Hopefully, prayerfully before Monday, when we’re supposed to head to the Miami area, which is a long way from Tampa.

We were there about 6 hours today, not counting drive time.

Fortunately, there was a nice community park nearby where we spent the bulk of our time, and it was a very nice day.

Our companion for a bit!
This is our office.
There was quite a bit of undesirable substances on the table and bench, so we had to root around in the Jeep to find things to help out. : )
Taken on my walk around.
It’s about a mile to go all the way around the lake. Very nice trail!
This is what Blaine saw on his walk around. : )
Gator!!

A phone call from Nick, our contact at General RV, after we returned home, told us the cost, and that he forgot to mention that their service guys put in a temporary control box and our slide would work.

It did not.

AND – – Nick had told Blaine that we would owe additional money (plus freight and tax) – that had nothing to do with our deductible.  Expenses that General RV says the warranty company didn’t approve.  So Blaine was back and forth on the phone dealing with the warranty company (who was fine with all covering the expenses, but says that’s not was GRV told them, and said we should only pay our deductible), and Nick, telling Blaine the miscommunication between them and the warranty company was now corrected.  This went on for several hours this afternoon. What a headache!

Now to be completely fair, Nick did tell us that he’d been in sales for 5 years and was only at this desk thing for the past two weeks.  People who’ve only worked in an office environment for two weeks don’t have the knack for getting information and getting things done.  It takes experience, and finesse.  I know.  I worked in offices my entire working career.  Obviously, Nick still needs to develop his skills.

So anyway, according to Nick, the part’s been ordered and will be Fed-Exed and he’ll call us when it’s in.  And he assured Blaine that the service guy assured him that the slide was working.

And since it’s not, Blaine’s concerned that there might be another undiagnosed problem. . .

But, on a lighter note – –  we were blessed to experience a rainbow on our drive home!

We’re getting closer!

And yet another gorgeous sunset after we returned to our beautiful site!

Right from our backyard! Isn’t He wonderful!
