See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ. ~ Colossians 2:8
As I write this, it’s Monday the 18th and I’m worn out from all the partying that’s been taking place on land and sea! I know some of you have been wondering what we’ve been up to, but take heart! We’re just hangin’ with Ohio transplants (Eric and Sandy) and true Floridians (their son, Adam and Jessica and their daughter, Eliana) and having a marvelous time!
And now, I get to try to remember what we’ve been up to.
So let’s return to the 13th.
Early this morning, Blaine finally got as fed up as I’ve been with the leaky refrigerator and after some research, pulled it out of its hole (with some difficulty, I might add), did his “Tim the Toolman” fixit thing (only more like Al than Tim 😊) and now we no longer have a leaky frig! And I can put away the cheap towels we bought solely for the purpose of sopping up water that had been exiting from underneath every few days. Yay!!!!!!
After that, it was time for my hair appointment. Sandy hooked me up with her hairdresser, and although she didn’t know anything about a Helix cut ☹ she still did a nice job, and the color is perfect – – at least until the sun bleaches me out again. So hats off to Lori at the Jupiter Hair Shop! There’s supposedly a stylist in Hudson, Ohio who does Helix cuts, so maybe before we hit the road again in mid-June? And for sure once we hit Alabama in November! I know it sounds silly to anyone who’s never had a Helix cut, but you just can’t believe the difference until you have one.
So, the haircut’s over and Blaine’s come to pick me up after hanging out near the lighthouse.
Next stop; head to Dune Dog for lunch. We ate here last year and loved it so much, we could hardly wait to get back! In fact, Blaine was even willing to wait 45 minutes. It turned out to only be about 15-20 though. Yummy lunch once again!
Then it was off to Blowing Rocks. It was cloudy, but a nice temperature for walking the beach and there were only a few people around today. Probably because it was cloudy and windy. We had a spectacular time enjoying the water splashing up through the rocks! I could have easily stayed here for hours, but Sandy was waiting for us, and I suppose it’s more important to visit with family you hardly ever see . . . (Luv ya, Sis! 😊)
After that, we took off for Eric and Sandy’s to visit for a couple of hours before heading home for the night.
