Sampson State Park, Romulus, New York
Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live. ~ Psalm 63:3-4
We allowed our bodies a small respite today.
We began with a scenic drive around the area with a plan to stop and buy a tomato somewhere before we returned home. There were several Amish road stands along the way. We picked one at random and came away with beans, lettuce and strawberries, but no tomato. Later we came across one that was more like a storefront and the sign out front said tomatoes. It turned out to be Amish owned as well. They had tomatoes, but I could tell they were “store bought”. We went ahead and bought an over-priced tomato and some squash here. At least the tomato was tasty. 😊
All of the produce was excellent! And Blaine got to check out our exit strategy. It was easy getting into this Park, not so easy getting out in the direction we need to go. All the roads have low bridges over them! He managed to find a way out, but it’ll add a few extra miles. At least we won’t end up with an open air floor plan!
Later on, we tried biking again, which went well. They have a “cell phone driving tour” here, so that’s what we did. The map was a little difficult to follow and the markers were sometimes hard to see because they were hidden in foliage, but we did pretty well.
And that’s it for today. We continue to heal. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow!
