HAPPY 64th ANNIVERSARY TO RON AND JOAN PECK, BLAINE’S MOM & DAD!! What a terrific godly example they’ve set for all their descendants!
Another scenic drive of mostly two-lane roads to our next destination, ever closer to Canada. We traveled 79 miles in under two hours. While Blaine drove, I sat in the front and at least managed to get some typing done. Except during our almost head-on collision! Some adrenaline junkie in a black SUV (probably a soccer mom 😊) who decided it was a good idea to pass a semi on a two-lane just as we were approaching. Blaine laid on the horn, but by then, they really had no choice except to try to make it between the semi and us. Thank God our guardian angel shoved them along so we could miss them!

There sure are a lot of friendly people here! I don’t know if it’s because it’s not a State Park, or what, but people smile and wave and are actually willing to hold a conversation. We don’t always encounter that where we stay. We even spent a while sitting and talking to our neighbors, Tom & Roni, who are also from Ohio, but down by Cincinnati. They’ve been full-timing for just over three years, and are preparing to host a 120-person rally in Alexandria Bay (think Boldt Castle). That’s a huge undertaking! They have to plan where these motorhomes are going to stay, activities, buy tickets, put gift bags together, and plan meals -whether at the campsite or out, and plan meeting(s). And once the planning is done, they still are not. It’ll be 24/7 for them for 3-4 days, and responsible for all those people!
And that’s all I have for today. And not much for the next few days, as I’ve told Blaine I’m not entering Canada until I’m caught up on the blog. 😊
It helps that it’s supposed to be 90 degrees in the shade for the next couple of days . . . .
