The Tide Is About To Turn 10/30/19

Better a meal of vegetables where there is love than a fattened calf with hatred.  ~ Proverbs 15:17

We were shut in all day today.  Heavy rain kept us indoors.  We’re both anxious to get out, but that may not happen until Friday.  We’ll see what tomorrow brings, but it’s supposed to rain all day again.  It was 70-degrees when we arrived on Monday afternoon.  Now, they’re calling for freeze warnings.  It’s supposed to get down to 25-degrees by Friday morning, with wind chills at 20.  High on Friday?  Forty-nine.  Brrrrrr . . . . .

I blogged and made a great Italian casserole for dinner.  Blaine made waffles and worked on reservations for next year.

And today brought us additional interesting viewing.  A lot of drinking Coronas, smoking and driving in and out of their space for short periods of time.  The dogs ran in and out in the rain, and one left the yard and was wandering around on our side of the street.  Once, the blonde brought back yet another girl.  None of them seem to mind the pouring rain.  And just as we were ready to sit down to dinner, two guys showed up in a red pick-up.  We tried to read their license with our binoculars (Well, we’re curious if they’re locals or not!)  At least five adults packed into the sports car.  The driver was one of the guys, who was drinking a bottle of Corona. . . . .

To warm the cockles of our hearts, we received these great pictures from home.
