One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys. ~ Proverbs 18:9
For two days we essentially did nothing of note. Nothing…….
Except eat. At a time of the year when most are thinking of not eating.
We partook of the traditional pork and sauerkraut meal on the first, and spent at least part of the day going through our pictures from the past year, jointly choosing a few from each month. The next day, we did nothing again, other than trying to get those pictures uploaded into the blog and taking care of a few other daily-type tasks.
On the third, we did some shopping and stopped for dinner at a place one of the campground hosts recommended – Uncle T’s. It was a great local place and we tried the two things the host had explicitly recommended – the chargrilled oysters, and the onion rings. The oysters were out of this world good! But the onion rings were just okay. We’re spoiled by the ones from Menches Brothers in Green, Ohio. Theirs are truly the best! We also shared a 12” Po’ Boy sandwich called ‘The Landry’ which featured a variety of fried crawfish, shrimp and oysters. Yum!!!
Here’s a few family pictures!
Tomorrow promises to be more interesting. 😊
