Final Farewells

Then it was time for the final farewells.  To hear us and others talk, you’d think we were driving off into the sunset never to be seen again. . . . but the truth is, we’ll be back in early October and again at Christmas.

Our last Sunday was Father’s Day, June 19th.  It was also our last bit of time with family.

We will definitely miss our church, but Pastor Mike Castelli is now available on-line – audio or video of his Sunday sermons are posted on The Chapel’s website on Tuesday.  Amazing teaching we wouldn’t miss for the world!  And if we so choose, they also have worship music available through Spotify.  Or we can just listen to our own.

However, all that said, nothing takes the place of actually BEING in a worship service with other believers.  Although the venues will change, we won’t give up actually going to church on Sundays.

We also said good-bye to our families.  It seems like our parents are the hardest hit by this, but I imagine if my kids had left home, I’d feel the same.  Our sons don’t seem to mind too much that we won’t actually be around.  Of course, we’ll be connected via technology which suits their generation just fine. : )
