Catalina State Park, Tucson, Arizona
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. ~ Galatians 5:22-23
Top o’ the mornin’ to ya! No parades. No green rivers. No green beer. No group get togethers. But we can still wear green if we want to! As evident in the following pictures sent to us by our youngest son, Kyle. This is Kade, Harper and Cooper; Kyle and Shena and their dog, Finn.
Bad news today, as we received our annual bill for the RV’s insurance and it almost tripled from last year! We’re sure it’s because of the accident when that semi hit us in November (can you believe it’s been that long ago?). Even though it wasn’t our fault, and no one was cited, the police report pushed blame towards us. But the main thing? No payments were made by the insurance company, so why the increase? Especially so much? This is a headache Blaine will address tomorrow, but will undoubtedly be foremost on his mind unless/until he can get it resolved. Suffice it to say, that much money is definitely NOT in our budget!
We decided to relieve some stress by tackling the almost 5-mile, difficult Bear Canyon/7 Falls Trail in Sabino Canyon which is about a ½ hour drive for us. In our bright red Jeep Renegade rental. Sure can’t loose this thing in a parking lot, no matter how full it is. 😊
These were at the Park entrance. Signs of the times . . .
The Park offers a shuttle service to get around, but we don’t really like the idea of being confined in a closed up short bus on a good day, let alone in times like these.
bare your feet and walk through it. : )
The Park was absolutely packed with people! Once again, it seemed to be mostly college and high school kids. What else are they gonna do? They don’t have school and they can’t go to the usual hang-outs.
There were a lot more people on this trail than we’re used to, but it didn’t slow us down too much, and it probably made the inevitable water crossings easier because we could watch those going before us to see the best route. 😊
Did you notice all the people lined up on the trail across the water?
Blaine had to take something out of his shoe, he’s not removing them to cross.
So we took a few pictures and climbed back up to the trail.
We’re tucked up against the rocks alongside the trail, and claimed a spectacular view!!
Blaine wanted shade . . .
looking for the trail again. : )
Looks like the skin just sluffed off it! : )
Chilly as it was, it felt wonderful!
All the way from Hawaii!!!
We never saw them, but we noticed the license plate. : )
Once again, a wonderful, blessed day! So grateful we’re able to participate in days like this!
