Wrestle The Wind     3/14/18

Meaher State Park, Spanish Fort, Alabama

Blaine had to go into his office to work today, and work he did!  We moved and he had to fight windy conditions all along the way.  Most of the time we were on a fairly narrow roadway.  Everyone else was fighting wind as well, trying to keep a straight line.  A couple of times there were some close calls, especially this one time when another RV tried to pass us and got within a couple of inches!

We stopped in at the Alabama Visitor Center and a very helpful staff member sent us on our way with an entire bag full of brochures and maps!  Much of it I’d already read about on-line, but now we have hard copies!  The internet is great for research, but I still prefer hard copies. 😊

There’s a lovely boardwalk area at our new place.

This rabbit was huge!
He’s pawing at the brush, until Blaine got a little too close for comfort.

STILL with the alligators???

There’s the campground

And Blaine reserved us a place right on Ducker Bay.  It’s gorgeous here!  The only drawback is the expressway across the water.  Not too loud though.  At night is sounds like a fan running.

And just look at the stunning sunsets we have!

Just get a load of that view!
