Over the summer, we saw a full-timer RV cartoon that said, ‘How will we ever know when we’re on vacation?” Well, that’ll be the truth now won’t it? Starting in June!
In the meantime, this was our last “official” vacation – – Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania. September 17th-24th. We didn’t take the motorhome because we had made plans before we bought it to spend a week with Blaine’s Mom & Dad. Split Rock Resort. It was very nice, with two separate living areas that had a connecting door. Beautiful scenery as you will see!

We did a lot of hiking (sans Mom & Dad) since gorgeous Hickory Run State Park was about 10 miles away. We also walked around the resort, and trespassed onto their professional golf course. : )
Some of our favorite hikes were:
A little white church (used for weddings) across from the visitor’s center
Shades of Death Trail. Nothing ‘death defying’ about it, but apparently people used to get lost in here. It’s a beautiful trail!

It’s been so long since we went until we posted this, we’ve forgotten the names of many of the trails. : ( Once we get on the road, that won’t happen! Promise!

We took a side adventure (as we often do when the opportunity presents itself) and walked thru this cave.
