I ventured out on my own for about 6 hours, leaving Blaine sequestered in the coach all day (it was raining and I had the Jeep). I never got lost, but I did have a little trouble finding the hair salon. Two times ago (or about 4 months), I had the best cut I’ve ever had in Kensington, Prince Edward Island, Canada. The last time (when we were home in October), was the absolute worst ever! Krystal had her work cut out for her trying to fix me. She did a remarkable job! She informed me that it still wasn’t perfect, but probably the next time – if I find a half-way decent stylist. She said my hair looked like the last girl was trying to give me a mohawk, and not only that, but is was uneven.
At the entrance to the parking garage I found, there was this giant mason jar of tea. It was kinda like a statue, but sported the claim to fame that Summerville is the birthplace of sweet tea. Such an out of the way place!
After my “hair lift”, I headed to the mall for some Christmas shopping and admittedly, some shopping for myself. Remember that sweater I told you about? Turned out, I had nothing with me to go with it. I found shoes at Shoe Carnival and pants at Kohl’s. Now I just need a place to wear it all! Hint, hint, Mr. Peck . . .
Eventually, I found my way home.
Blaine was still there. He’d spent the day planning for our Spring travels. And taking pictures of a Pileated Woodpecker outside our bathroom window.
I’ve done it. I’ve officially entered the realm of “Facebook” people who document every aspect of their day for the world to see. I need to get out before I venture in too far and can’t find my way back . . .
We better get outside and do something interesting soon.
