I’ll Be Home For Christmas     12/16-23/17

First things first.  I have no idea what we did on the 16th.  But on the 17th, we had to move.  All the way “across the street”.  The Park has this rule that you can’t book more than 2 weeks at a time, so we have to re-register and take another site.  Literally across the street from where we are right now, where our home will remain until we return right after Christmas.

Anyone have any idea what this is??

The 18th was our ten-hour drive back to Ohio.  It actually went very smoothly and neither of us was quite as uncomfortable as we’d anticipated.  That’s a good thing, because then we won’t dread the drive back home!

Our days were filled with merriment and brightness (merry and bright, get it?).  Chaos and quiet times.  Most of it was spent with family.

December 23rd brought with it special wishes to my middle brother, David.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVEY!!   He hates it when I call him that.  That’s why I do it.  😮    Besides, he lives in Alabama and we hardly ever see him, so what’s he gonna do about it??  ; )

He’s 4 ½ years younger than me, so that makes him . . . . .

We also celebrated Christmas with my family on the 23rd.  My Mom thought it would be a great idea so the families with children wouldn’t have to go out on Christmas Day.  They LOVED it!  But I think  our oldest son was the only one who actually took advantage of the gift.

A day of almost complete chaos with the kids running around a bit in Mom’s bungalow and eating until we just about burst, then opening gift after gift after gift . . . .

This is my youngest, Kyle and my middle grandson, Cody. Apparently, he left me a surprise gift.
I had no idea these were on my phone.
Thanks, Kyle!! : )

I couldn’t resist putting this in here. A-d-o-r-a-b-l-e!

Traditional Family Christmas Pose
Older son Chris, Kade, Shena (she’s with Kyle), younger son Kyle, Harper, younger brother Lance, Kelli, Logan
Max, Jessica (Chris’ wife and kids), Alex, Cody, Mom (May)
and surely you recognize us by now. : )

Maybe not so traditional.
But Fun!!

Then my sister-in-law brought out a game and it just went downhill (in a hysterically fun way!!!) from there.  She had taken gobs of plastic wrap and wrapped little gifts inside over and over until it was about the size of a medium watermelon.

This is how the game started . . .

We began by setting a timer for 1 minute.  In that one minute, you had to put on over-sized gloves and find the end of the plastic wrap, pull fast (without ripping) and hope you get a prize.  If not, you keep working until the time’s up.  Pass to the next person.  This went on for two rounds.

Then the game changed.  No gloves, and the person on your left rolled dice until they got doubles, while you worked frantically to unwrap.

Looks like fun, doesn’t it?!?

At one point, a competitive person who shall remain nameless, had loosened a piece and when the doubles were rolled, they actually pressed the plastic back down!  😊   We got it all unwrapped eventually!  What a blast!!

Fantastic day with family!  God has surely blessed us richly!
