Where No Man Has Gone Before     3/09/18

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park, White Springs, Florida

Same old.  Same old.  Another morning of devotions, blogging and reservations.

But you know by now , I’m rarely at a loss for words.  😊

Today is moving day, and before we left, we wanted to get out and walk a bit.  It’s 54 degrees outside, but the sun is brilliant in a completely clear azure sky.

I thought we were going for a short walk around the Park on the road just like when I went azalea hunting the other day.  I should know by now that if you walk with Blaine, you’re going off-road at some point.  I should know by now that if you walk with Blaine, there’ll most likely be many more steps involved than you originally anticipated.

I foolishly neglected to take my leave before we started out.

At one point, Blaine offered an opportunity to return to the tower, but I said I’d be fine.  I thought we were almost done.

I sang songs and wrote blog notes in my head to focus my mind on other things.  I was doing well.  Until . . .

Blaine announced we’d made a wrong turn.  And there I was.  Back to nature. . .

After three miles of walking, we arrived home in time to eat lunch, wash the windshield and be on our way.

It was a 2 1/2 hour drive into the Central Time Zone.  Being retired, we pretty much ignore that.  😊

Taken from the road, we thought this looked like a tornado!
Wonder what they’re burning now?

Our new location in Three Rivers State Park has an enormous lake right in our backyard!

Here’s our backyard!

After we set up, we took a walk on the Lake Trail that starts behind us.  Lots and lots of tree roots!  Haven’t seen those for a while.  We’re looking forward to our 5 day stay here.

Wild lilies!
