Seven Points J. Percy Priest Dam Campground, Hermitage, Tennessee (Nashville)
As you can see, we moved today. Two and a half hours of fairly uneventful driving, although we did see a pickup almost get run off the road on the expressway by a car changing lanes. They were right in front of us. YIKES! And we were no longer in Alabama! And there was a semi whose cargo caught on fire and burned up the contents and trailer. Fortunately, he’d been able to move the truck away.
We’re at another C.O.E. campground (Corps of Engineers). It’s pretty nice, but our site is in a hole. We had to lift the coach and lower the jacks all the way to get level. Hence, the need to live on stilts. But everything seems stable. I hope so, since we had to set up twice today because of a close tree, and Blaine (although some better) is still experiencing pain. I really should have taken a picture of us before we set up. It’s quite an incline for a bus.
The asphalt is barely wider than the coach and we were hugging the driver’s side as close as we could. We set up and the living room slide was too close to a tree (as mentioned previously). Ugh! That meant we had to undo everything and try again. There wasn’t an option to move because they’re full-up. This time, we left the asphalt and drove up onto some railroad ties they have to protect the grass from people driving on it.
Well, at least we’re not on the grass! 😊
Can we help it if they left a tree in the way?

After a dinner of leftovers, we took a walk around the campground loop. The sites are all widely spaced and the trees are blooming and sprouting spring green and the lake (man-made from the dam) will be beautiful, but tonight, the sun was setting so no pictures. Too much glare.
