Wagon Trail Campground, Rowleys Bay, Wisconsin Peninsula
After on again-off again rain yesterday we were told that it would stop. Then when we got up, it was still raining, but we were told that it would stop by 9am. Then 11am. Then 3pm. Then 4pm.
It rained steady all day long.
And not only did it rain, but it thunderstormed all day long. Rolling, rumbling thunder and flashes of lightening. But oddly, no wind.
I tried to catch the thunder on video, but of course, it didn’t cooperate. But you get to hear rain at least. 😊
We watched movies in the dark and ate unhealthy food.
Not good when you’re just sitting around all day long. We’re so grateful not to be tent campers! Or have a dog to take out!
And all this rain is the reason for that Special Edition post about the roads being washed out!
This morning (6/21), Blaine called the campground we’re going to next – where the damage was done – and they told him they were fine, the road’s washed out, but we can get to them via a different. We’re praying that’s true!
