Sleeping Giant Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada
Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Psalm 119:105
Gorgeously beauteous drive today! And I’ve got the pictures to prove it! Lots of them. Unfortunately though, it was pretty overcast today, and even had some rain, so the pictures don’t really reflect what our eyes saw.
Would you look at that!
I never knew my Mom had a store out here!
And it’s her favorite kind – all the signs along the road advertised it as a Christmas and gift store.
They have charging moose signs in Ontario.
Maybe that’s supposed to intimidate you into being cautious of them?
It would appear we’re driving right into the Lake!
We had to wait quite a bit for this guy. : )
What’s this fancy bridge doing out here?
The vein designs in these rocks were stunning!
This is a perfect example of what I was referring to.
Those rocks up ahead were a beautiful rusty red color, with pine-green trees topping it.
Simply lovely!
Other than the scenery, the only exciting thing today happened just as we were leaving the Park. A fox crossed the road in front of us with something he caught hanging from his mouth! Whatever it was, it was pretty large. We thought maybe a rabbit?
That’s what he looked like, only the one we saw had something dark dangling out of his mouth and he was staring us down as he trotted across the road.
Penn Lake Park Campground, Marathon, Ontario, Canada
This is the view just past the “Welcome to Marathon” sign.
Imagine if it were a sunny day!
Here we are!
Easiest pull in and set up so far!
Marathon. Appropriately named since we’ll be staying ten days here. That’s a marathon for us! 😊
