Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. ~ Psalm 118:1
It was a stress-filled day today, starting with me accidentally sucking up one of my cotton scrunchies into the vacuum system as I was preparing us to move. Blaine had to take out the dirt bag and look through it. I should have taken a picture – – it looked like Cousin It was living in there! So much of my hair’s been swept up off our floors, you’d have to wonder why I have any left! Anyway, no scrunchie. But we now have a clean bag. We also couldn’t find it in the hose. Got no idea what became of it.
Most of the stress from today was all Blaine’s though.
It was an insane 86 miles and 2 ¼ hours of driving today! We were jostled to and fro on the roads so everything was a bit of a mess in the cupboards. There were impatient drivers zipping around us, road construction delays, tons of traffic and drivers crossing the double yellow steering into a head-on collision with us, even on the campground/park road where they should know better. There were also lots of police cars with their lights flashing along the side of the roads. Let’s just say, it’s a good thing Blaine’s such a great defensive driver. It’s always important for him to stay on constant alert, but today seemed even more so. The evening news showed an accident on the very part of the expressway we’d been on at about the same time. It shut down all four lanes. God is good!

Tight quarters! Our site today was supposed to be for 40’, but we only fit because we’re squeezed between two trees. And the leveling process didn’t go well either. The right rear corner kept sinking into the ground. We’re still not level, but we’re not too far off. We just pretend we’re drunken pirates when we walk around.
It turned out that Blaine (the practically perfect one) somehow made a mistake in choosing our site this time. The mistake part? He looked up the sites online again. Ooops . . . It’s rated for 34’. See how good he is? He can even make a 40’ hard metal bus fit into a 34’ space! And without crunching it!
It’s possible you’ll remember this Park from last year. We were here over Thanksgiving and it’s also where they had the horse shows, and we visited several very old cemeteries within the Park boundary.
