Problem Solved     11/27/18

Edisto Beach State Park, Edisto Island, South Carolina

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble, and He delivered them from their distress.  ~ Psalm 107:6

After a somewhat restless night of sleep (considering what he’s wrestling with, are you surprised?), Blaine spent some time researching our problem.

Thanks to on-line research, Blaine had the problem resolved by 10am.

Heavy sighs of relief all around.

Thank You, Lord, for answered prayer!

It was such a traumatic experience, that a few days later when I asked him to explain it to me so I could write about it, he had trouble remembering.  But Hard-Hearted Hannah that I am, I insisted that he relive it. Grimace . . .

Here’s Blaine’s version of the event:

After investigating via research, I determined that the leveling jack system is tied in with the full-wall slide.  I decided to retract and reset the leveling gear.  And voila!  The slide operated normally!

It was time to get out and relax some, so we took a drive.

Similar to driving the road at Holden Beach, North Carolina, but there are a lot more trees and shrubs, etc.

Somehow, we ended up out of the Jeep and on a path that pointed to the “Bache Monument”, so that’s actually what we were looking for, curious about who Bache was.

Our path to Bache Monument

We didn’t get that far, as it also led to the Edisto Research and Educational Center.

Errrkkkk!
Detour!

What’s really interesting about this picture, is that someone, many years ago, actually mapped this!

They had beautiful photographs as well as murals! Along with some taxidermy.

That is one ugly mug!

Frogs
Do I really need to label these? : )

There was a flounder in this tank. I probably should’ve deleted the picture when I discovered it was all blue. : )

I’m bummed this puffer fish is out of focus.

Doesn’t that look real?

Just to the right of the parking lot, was this dock area. We took a VERY quick look here, because the air was cold and the wind even colder! Brrrr . . .

By the time we finished walking around in here, we were hungry, so we saved the monument for another day.  We can do that!  We’re here for ten whole days!

After lunch, we headed to the beach, where we took a long walk off a short pier . . . .  😊

Actually, it was just a short walk, to a series of break walls.

Take a good look at this picture – – especially the upper right corner.
Know what that is?
When’s the last time you saw a hot tub on a third-floor balcony??

The really exciting part came with the dolphin visit!

Blaine ran out ahead of me, but I wasn’t too far behind!

They were so close to the beach we could see their cute little faces!  Well, Blaine could see them better than me, because his vision’s better, but still, they were really close!

See?!? Cute!

Gorgeous sand-dune flowers in our campground.

And we ended our day (about 5:15pm!) with a lovely sunset, right from our home.
