Parade Of Homes 03/22/19

Jonathan Dickinson State Park, Hobe Sound, Florida (Jupiter)

. . . make every effort to add to your faith, goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love.  For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being in-effective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. ~ II Peter 1:5-8

We began today with donuts!!  You can never go wrong starting a day like that!  Jupiter Donuts is located just up the street from Sandy and Eric’s!  If I lived there – especially after having eaten one – I don’t know that I could pass them up, and I’d very shortly end up weighing 400# (or more)!  Thanks guys!

These were fantastic donuts!
Someone we met said they weren’t any different than Dunkin, but he was VERY wrong!
I’m thinking he’s just not a donut man, but I’m having trouble wrapping my head around that possibility.
Who doesn’t LOVE donuts??

We sat around jawing and playing with Eliana for about an hour, and then it was time for us to invade Adam and Jessica’s new digs.  Of course, they don’t actually own it yet, but today was inspection day and the relator said we could all come as long as we stayed out of the way.  So we did.  After a quick walk around, Blaine and I shared the patio swing until the rest were ready to leave.  But they did call Blaine away after the inspector left to ask about some electrical stuff they weren’t sure of.  I felt badly for the current owner’s dog Toby, who was left in her cage.  Sweet, older dog, but she seemed really out of sorts having all these strangers in her home.  She was all whiny and shaking.  If all goes well, they can move in in about six weeks, if I remember correctly.  It might’ve been four.

Eliana loved the elephant the current owners had in their living room!
The front
This is the room you walk into when using the front door.
Looking from the living room through the house. So nice and open!
Look at the size of the palms off the back patio! No one knew how old they were, but they’ve been around awhile.
This was by the front door.
Adam and Jessica’s realtor took these pictures as we were ready to leave. Adam was unable to join us because he had to work. Bummer!

Jessica announced that she and Eliana were going to Chic-fi-la, so the rest of us decided to join them.  The food was good as always, but we were still full from donuts.  Still, we managed to cram every bite in.  Of course.

After lunch, Jessica and Eliana left us to return home and the four remaining returned to Eric and Sandy’s.  Sandy and I went to Subway to pick up dinner, and then we were off for our sunset cruise!   How many people do you know who can take you on a dinner cruise?

Are we gonna make it?
Looks pretty tight! Blaine and Eric say “Yes”
Barely!
More adventure!
Blaine’s hat almost skimmed the top. : )
You’d think this would pose a problem, but the bottom of that sign is exactly the same height as where we entered, so we’re good. Whew!

We drove?  Sailed?  Not sure what you call it since we had neither tires, nor a sail.  Anyway, Eric steered the boat up some canals to check out the homes and boats.

I loved this gorgeous tree!
Nice boat!
We all liked this property – cute house and also a guest house. Pretty landscaping and on the water.

Along the way, they discovered one of their friend’s new home and she happened to be there, so we pulled up to her dock and went inside to look around.  It was a little larger than Adam and Jessica’s (she said sarcastically), but honestly, I think I’d choose theirs over the higher-priced one.  It’s just too much house for me.  Course, that could be because all I could think of was, “Who’s gonna clean all this?”  I suppose if you can buy the house, you can probably hire someone.  They were preparing to install three 65’ TVs.  Moving day is next week.

The tide was low enough, we had to use the ladder to climb out and then in Eric’s boat.
With Adam at work, Blaine (formerly 2nd mate) had to step it up.
No pay raise, though. : )
It felt weird taking pictures here, but Sandy assured me it was fine.
We all liked the curved doorway.
I don’t know how high the ceilings were, but they were much higher than standard.
That’s why you can’t see them in any pictures. : )
With my current wardrobe, I don’t think I could even put one item on each shelf. : )
The backyard which butts right up to the canal.
These were prettier than they look. : )

Back to the water we go!  And to the sand bar for dinner.

Eric took us on the waters at Jonathan Dickinson.
That was us just a few days ago. : ) There were quite a few kayakers this afternoon.
Stuck on a sand bar. On purpose. : )
There’s the anchor Blaine set for us. And he’s holding a coconut that was floating on the water. He set it down and when it floated away, about an hour or so later, we knew it was time to shove off.
Sailing off into the sunset! Not quite the same as a horse, but this has 115 horses!

What a nice afternoon/evening!  We returned to Eric and Sandy’s until we were too tired to stay up any longer.

This is Lex. He’s mostly Sandy’s dog, but sometimes, he chose my lap over hers. Nah-nah-nah-nah-naahh-nah!! : )
This is the moon from our campsite.
It was sooooo much more beautiful, huge and bright than this picture would have you believe!
