Stern discipline awaits him who leaves the path; he who hates correction will die.  ~ Proverbs 15:10

Today was supposed to be a day set aside for me to get all caught up on the blog before we arrive back home in Ohio.

That’s not what happened.

Instead, I spent the entire day dealing with vertigo!  Vertigo so severe that I was puking my guts out all morning.  For those of you who may not be aware, vertigo is a sensation of feeling off balance, dizzy spells, spinning.  Not something I’ve experienced much of, even after a circular amusement park ride.  One of the reasons for vertigo is when tiny calcium particles clump up in the inner ear canals.  Since your inner ear is what sends signals to the brain about head and body movements relative to gravity, when one or both of the canals are blocked, it messes with your balance.

In more severe cases, it also causes nausea and vomiting.

However, my days spent working at a physical therapy office paid off with a little help from Youtube.

Between bouts of hanging over the toilet, I somehow managed to remember our office manager/therapist performing the Epley Maneuver on patients with vertigo, so I asked Blaine to check it out.

And we began the exercises designed to loosen those particles by him moving my head around like they demonstrated, rolling me to my side, sit up . . . . . and puke. Several times.

And I slept a lot.  But by late afternoon, I was beginning to show some signs of life.  Thank you Jesus, Sarah, Blaine and Youtube!

What a way to spend the day!
