A Day Of Preparation 12/16/19

Frog City RV Park, Duson, Louisiana

It is not good to be partial to the wicked, or to deprive the innocent of justice.  ~ Proverbs 18:5

Our South African neighbors stopped by to tell us good-bye this morning!  Wasn’t that nice of them?  They’re heading over to New Orleans to spend three nights in a B&B, and they’ll be gone from here before we return.  We didn’t get any great stories from them, but we chatted amicably several times.  They have three children who are scattered all over the globe – Australia, New Zealand and the UK.  And we thought ours were far away!  We’re sooo blessed to be able to see family so frequently!

And we received pictures from home! These are our oldest son, Chris and Jessica’s boys.

They went out to see Christmas lights, and found a bunch! This one’s in Jackson Twp in Ohio.

We spent today getting ready for tomorrow’s adventure.  We’re leaving the bayou behind for two weeks, as we fly home for Christmas.  It’ll begin with a call for an Uber to pick us up at 11:30am (hopefully they won’t show up with a lawn mower! 😊).  It’s our very first Uber.  Everyone makes it sound easy.  I hope they’re right.

And then off to the Lafayette airport we’ll go, where we’ll catch a United flight to Akron/Canton.  We’re scheduled to arrive around 10:30pm.  That’s a long day!  Plus, we’ll have to pick up a rental car.

Then we’ll sneak in to Blaine’s Mom and Dad’s as best we can, although they promised to be awake and waiting for us.

Hopefully all will go according to plan.  😊

Part of our preparation today, was laundry. I loved this sign hanging in the laundry room! lol!
Here’s their announcements for activities this month. Nice, huh?
We’ve never seen laminated announcements before. : )

It’s really hard to pack what you need into one suitcase and a small carry-on bag. Our other carry-on is reserved for all our electronic needs. How did we ever manage even 10 years ago?
