Lost Dutchman State Park, Apache Junction, Arizona

There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan that can succeed against the LORD.  ~ Proverbs 21:30

Good Morning, Apache Junction!

I was feeling pretty whooped today, so I lazed around a bit and did blog work, and kissed Blaine good-bye.

He was full of energy, and took off on a long (and probably much faster) hike without me.  And he remembered to take pictures!  And for the first time in a long time, I only took one – – the morning one.  😊

Since I wasn’t with Blaine, I have no commentary to go along with his hike or his pictures.  Maybe he’ll add some when he edits this post.  😊

This is one of the nicest campsites we’ve ever had.
A view of our coach from part way up the trail.
I wanted to climb up to the large rocks, but there wasn’t really a trail.
My goal was to make it to the deep-V on the left.
Almost there!
I finally made it.
The next few pictures are views from the “V” front and back.
Time to head back.
That’s downtown Phoenix.

I did leave the coach for about an hour and a half as I walked around the campground and talked on my phone, catching up with a couple of people.  I like to walk and talk whenever possible because it gives me some exercise while I’m doing one of the things I love – talking. 😊

Besides, I’m still recuperating from that rib injury.  According to my mom and son, it’s most likely an injury to the cartilage.  That’s the tissue that attaches our ribs to the breastbone, and when it tears away it not only hurts, but is called a costochondral separation.  (No.  I’m not that smart.  I looked it up.)
