A ruler who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain that leaves no crops. ~ Proverbs 28:3
My hubby was a workhorse this morning before we left! Washing dishes and windows, filling our water tank, cleaning the black tank, and doing his best to remove all that dirt that’s accumulated on our bikes the past few weeks.
And all the while he was working so hard, I was sitting at my “desk”, answering emails and blogging. I’m kinda liking having a domestic servant. Wonder if he can cook anything besides breakfast food and bake chocolate chip cookies? 😉
Our drive was only 36 miles today and took us just over an hour, but it was a narrow winding road through fantastic scenery! And they provided pull-offs along the way so slower drivers could get out of the way. There was another long motorhome similar to ours a few cars in front of us who chose not to get out of the way. Gives us a bad name! But once Blaine accumulated a following, even though we knew they wouldn’t get far, he pulled over to let a few cars pass. It turned out to be at least 30! You can’t see them all because of those turns.
Eventually, the other RV pulled over, but not for quite a while. Other than that, and the exquisite scenery, our short drive was uneventful.
We’ve left the National Parks for a bit as we head east toward Ohio. It’ll take us about 7 weeks to get there, but we’re now on our way! We miss everyone sooooo much!

Here’s where we’re spending the next few days, letting our weary bodies rest, getting some things done, and catching up the blog once again. And just so you know, it’s not always my fault that we’re behind. Sometimes it’s excruciatingly slow internet, sometimes there are multiple necessary interruptions, and sometimes my editor forgets to post. 😊
Since we dropped about 5,000’ of elevation, we’re back in the heat again. Here’s proof!
