The Final Move 09/12/20

Summit Lake State Park, New Castle, Indiana

Do not be quick with your mouth do not be hasty in your heart to utter anything before God. God is in heaven and you are on earth, so let your words be few.  ~ Ecclesiastes 5:2

This is how we began our day!
A gorgeous sunrise!
Wanted to share one of this morning’s devotionals. : )

We drove the final 272 miles to home in Ohio in about 5 hours.  And believe it or not, with two stops (fuel and lunch), we only arrived 11 minutes later than the original gps estimated time!  I’d say that’s pretty good!

We had a stop sign, but we’re not sure why.
There’s just a side road on the left . . . It was a two-way stop.
We know we can’t be far from home, when we start seeing these signs!
The gas station was filled to overflowing with semis!
Fortunately, most of them were parked, and not wanting to fill up!
“Crossing border”
As the gps likes to say. : )
We could tell the minute we entered Ohio – – even if there hadn’t been a sign.
The road was the worst we’ve been on in the past nine months!
And just why is that?
They can’t blame the weather, because we were in plenty of states that have similar weather,
and their roads are nothing like this . . . .
Uh oh. There’s an accident up ahead.
It’s okay. We let him over. : )
Picking up the pieces . . .
The semi on the right is part of the accident. The one on the left is the one we let in front of us.
Everyone had to drive on the berm. Scary! You don’t know what might be lying over there!
The dump truck was vehicle #2, in the accident.
The best picture I took of Columbus. : )
We’re getting ever closer!
One of our sons and his family live in Wadsworth!
We waved as we drove by. : )
This construction on 224, is nearly the same as we left it in December!
Mogadore! That’s us!
Our home when we’re at home!

Countryside Campground, Mogadore, Ohio

We’re parked in Mogadore, Ohio for the next six weeks (9/12 – 10/26), so the blog will most likely be on hiatus until sometime after that.  Meanwhile, I’ll try to make notes of what went on during that time.

We’ve traveled 6,671 miles on this leg of our journey since we took off for parts West on October 28, 2019, and we drove through a dozen states. Really. An even dozen. Blaine counted them for me.  😊

We are so very grateful for all that God has allowed us to see and do, and we’re grateful to be home as well!
