We hiked about 5 miles today within the State Park and also stepping over the line into the Red River Gorge area, before moving on to actually visiting more of the Red River Gorge area after the approaching hurricane subsides.
I didn’t notice it when I took the picture. : (

If you look closely at the picture, you can just make out water dripping.
but I’d say we’re following Social Distancing protocol pretty well, wouldn’t you? : )
We are still absolutely fascinated with these Bigleaf Magnolias they have here! Spindly little trunks with even smaller branches that host enormous leaves! And when they fall to the ground, most of them land upside-down, their white backsides making the ground look like someone dumped trash all over! It’s really quite remarkable! Once again, God proves His creativity and love for us!

After our exercise was complete, we stopped by the Nature Center on the way home. It was housed in a large building, but the actual ‘center’ part was pretty small, and no one was in there. Still, the displays they had were very nicely done!
