In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. ~ Genesis 1:1
You can purchase a Jeep tire cover that says, “All who wander are not lost”.
We spent a couple of hours wandering today, but we were sorta, kinda lost. They don’t always mark the trails very well. The first one (.6 mile loop) to the Seven Sinkholes, was pretty well marked – once we found the trailhead off the parking lot. You’ll be happy to know that I took a picture of each one! Aren’t you excited to see them?!? 😊
Since we wanted to walk more than .6 miles today, we left the trail and cut through the woods to a wide path/road? that was close by.
We began well on the Maple Arch equestrian trail, but it’s a fairly long loop, and it wouldn’t get us home. Blaine checked his map, but it’s not a very good map, so we found ourselves wandering around and back and forth, trying to find the best way home that wouldn’t take us hours.
Eventually we made it back to the Jeep! It’s a good thing too, because we had no provisions with us except two bottles of water and some tic tacs, and all we’d had to eat was a few pancakes and a shared banana.
I don’t remember what we had for dinner, but rest assured, it was really good. Of course, anything would be good when you’ve been considering you might miss a meal – or two . . . 😊
