Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the LORD. But Abel brought fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The LORD looked with favor on Abel and his offering, but on Cain and his offering He did not look with favor. ~ Genesis 4:2b-5a
David had to go back to work today. That means playtime is over until the weekend. Sigh . . . .
I’m sure we’ll do something during the next week, but not today. Today, Blaine’s chained me to the laptop, cracked the whip and demanded I get caught up on the blog. 😊
So that’s what I did today. Blaine worked on his own paperwork and planning activities. We also enjoyed a luscious leftover turkey sandwich! Now all that remains of all that food from Thursday, is a large chunk of stuffing. I can eat it cold, but it grosses Blaine out when I do that.
It’s cold today – we even saw a few flakes of snow, and it’s getting colder. Tonight’s low? 23⁰! And again tomorrow night. And very cold every day this coming week. Blaine had to go out and unhook our water so our water line doesn’t freeze, and also placed a heat lamp in our basement to help keep the mechanical stuff above freezing.
Last time we checked, we’re supposed to be in the South . . . .
