…you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins. ~ Matthew 1:21
Well, it’s official. We’ve added a new plague of pestilence to our repertoire. Teeny, weeny, itty, bitty brown ants! As I mentioned previously, we’ve been seeing a few here and there, but nothing alarming.
Until this morning.
We finished up breakfast, and I went to the sink to prepare to wash dishes. That’s when I spotted them. Dozens and dozens of them all along the edge of the sink and crawling on the countertop. Ugh!! After Blaine & I both watched them for a few minutes, trying to discern where they were going/coming from, we gave up in defeat, and wiped them down and into the sink where scalding hot water, followed by a baking soda/vinegar bath should’ve eliminated the ones we could see.
But it didn’t eliminate rest. And they kept appearing. We needed a trip to Ace Hardware. And now, after much searching, we still don’t know where they live, but we do know where they like to dine. Chez Terro! Best ant food in town! Until they find themselves belly up. Let’s hope that’s real soon, because it’s really gross sharing my kitchen.
Ugh!!!!!!! Soooooo disgusting!!
Blaine can fix anything, so I’m sure he’ll fix this too. 😊
Just like he got rid of our previous pests, the gnats, mosquitos, lady bugs and stink bugs.
In the meantime, the ants keep marching ten by ten, or maybe it one hundred by one hundred, because starting this afternoon and up until we went to bed, they’ve got this conga line going from somewhere underneath our slide, across the floor the couch sits on, up the corner and across the bottom of the kitchen counter wall. . . .
And that’s the extent of our excitement for today.
