Family Day 02/17/21

Highlands Hammock State Park, Sebring, Florida

But Abram said, “O Sovereign LORD, what can you give me since I remain childless and the one who will inherit my estate is Eliezer of Damascus?”  And Abram said, “You have given me no children; so a servant in my household will be my heir.” ~ Genesis 15:2-3   Is Abram doubting God’s promise (Gen 12:1-3)?  Or is he just questioning?  Is there a difference?  FYI – making a servant your heir was a common practice at the time when there were no biological heirs.

Today was spent about 2 wet hours away visiting Blaine’s parents, Ron & Joan, at their time-share resort in Kissimmee, Florida.  That’s near Disney in case you were wondering.

I rained most of the way.

It was soooo nice to see them and visit for a few hours.  We talked for a while, tried to walk around the resort (until it started raining), took them to a fantastic dinner at the Columbia Restaurant, then returned to their suite and played a game of Sequence (the guys won three games to one) before returning home.

We’re near Disney! Let’s Celebrate!
Do you suppose that’s how the town got its name? : )
Oh for cryin’ out loud!
Seriously?
Too funny!
Inside the Columbia Restaurant. The food and service were exceptional.

We took a short walk after dinner.
This is as high as the fountain ever got. It has distances to different places on it.
Wonder if they raise it in the summer?
This sign had elements that cracked us up.
It’s a pretty sad commentary on humanity’s common sense,
that some of these have to actually be listed on a sign.
Pretty, but I’ll bet it’s beautiful when the sun’s shining!

Such a lovely day!  We miss family so much!
