The Heat Of The Day 06/18/21

Kellogg RV Park, Kellogg, Iowa

Then the man (Abraham’s servant, Eliezer) bowed down and worshiped the LORD, saying, “Praise be to the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who has not abandoned his kindness and faithfulness to my master.  As for me, the LORD has led me on the journey to the house of my master’s relatives.” ~ Genesis 24:26-27         Sometimes, we just need to pause and be thank-filled and recognize the sovereignty and trustworthiness of Almighty God!

Good morning, Kellogg!

It’s still stifling hot today, so we stayed mostly indoors.  We did however, take a few laps around the campground after lunch just to stretch our legs a bit and confirm that, yes, indeed, it’s stinking hot out there! It was a little like walking inside an oven – – that’s turned on.

They do at least try to make the campground nice.  There are Adirondack chairs around a couple of fire pits (no fires at your site), the road to the gas station is lined with decorations, and several other things are sitting around and/or painted.  You’ll see. . . .

The truck stop parking lot.
See! Creative use of pretty flowers in a nice little garden.
These line the drive. The jars have lights in them.
Yes, folks. This is a real tornado shelter!
Wonder how many of us it’ll hold??
We’ll see . . . .
I-80 is just on the other side of that green hedge on the middle left of the picture.
This is cute too – a chicken coop with metal chickens in it.
There’s a young girl (20s?) who goes around and paints all this stuff.
We saw her working on a storage shed door today.

And that’s all the news that is news today.
