So the man (Eliezer, Abraham’s servant) went to the house . . . food was set before him, but he said, “I will not eat until I have told you what I have to say.” And he recounted the events that led him there, including giving full credit to God. “…and I bowed down and worshiped the LORD. I praised the LORD, the God of my master Abraham, who had led me on the right road to get the granddaughter of my master’s brother for his son.”. . . . Laban and Bethuel answered, “This is from the LORD; we can say nothing to you one way or the other. Here is Rebekah; take her and go and let her become the wife of your master’s son, as the LORD has directed.” ~ Genesis 24:32-51 So much faith! So much answered prayer! I remember being surprised that Abraham’s brother and his family would have faith and trust in God. I always just figured God singled Abraham out and Hebrew faith began with him. Obviously, I was wrong.
It poured the rain several times today, and we had some thunder and a bit of lightning. Needless to say, we spent the day indoors listening to the wind and rain. All that nature noise, blocked out any traffic noise. So that was a plus. 😊
Not a great way for Blaine to spend Father’s Day. But at least he got to talk with both of his sons and his dad. There was also a quick call from Chris’ boys as they were traveling to summer camp. 😊
I’m sure there’s not doubt in your mind that he’s a spectacular son, father, and grandfather!
Nothing else of note – – again. I spent the day still researching and trying to make sense of what I learned about Buffalo Bill. Whoo Hoo!! Way to hold your attention!
Dinner tonight was definitely NOT what Blaine would’ve ordered, but weather prevented us from grilling anything (there are ribs in the frig for another time. Yum!) So instead, we feasted on those Olive Garden take-home pastas that we brought home. They were pretty good, especially once I doctored up the alfredo with garlic shrimp, peppers and a bit of Italian seasoning. We each had some, but there’s still half of each one leftover. That’s a lot of meals! Between the dinners we ordered and didn’t finish until lunch one day, and those take-home ones, we got four meals EACH. That’s pretty good!
Can you tell I don’t have much to write about? lol
We ended our day with a glorious rainbow! Thank You, Father!
