Got It!      06/20/22

Barkcamp State Park, Belmont, Ohio

So they (Joseph’s 11 brothers) went up out of Egypt and came to their father Jacob in the land of Canaan.  They told him, “Joseph is still alive!  In fact, he is ruler of all Egypt.”  Jacob was stunned; he did not believe them.  But when they told him everything Joseph had said … and he saw the carts … the spirit of … Jacob revived.  And Israel said, “I’m convinced!  My son Joseph is still alive.  I will go and see him before I die.” ~ Genesis 45:25-28     Can you just imagine the joy and anticipation of Jacob?  Can’t you just hear him, “Hurry!  Hurry!”  And telling everyone who would listen – and even those who didn’t – “My long-dead son is alive!  And not only is he alive, but he’s the ruler over all Egypt!” The people may or may not have believed Joseph was alive after 22 years of absence, but I’ll bet few, if any, believed he was ruler of all Egypt. And here we see yet another comparison of Joseph to Jesus – one of many.  The Son Who was dead, made alive.  The disciples filled with uncontainable joy for the Risen Son, the Ruler over all!  Are you excited to tell others about the Risen Son?

Well, we did it again.  Ohio to West Virginia to Pennsylvania to West Virginia to Maryland, only this time, driving the motorhome.  😊

The mess we left behind! Torn up asphalt, impressed asphalt and hydraulic fluid all over. Yikes! So Sorry!
Does that sign look familiar?
Uh-oh . . .
Ouch! Seems like no one was hurt, thank goodness!

But we got it!  Our new welded-properly jack!  Now, all that remains is the hard work of Blaine putting it back on.  That’ll be tomorrow.

That’s the shop! Blaine disappeared into that garage door with donuts, and reappeared with our repaired jack.

Driving today wasn’t easy for Blaine, but at least it wasn’t scary.  There were steep hills to contend with, and there was actually one near miss while I was talking on the phone to a friend.  Someone coming in from an on-ramp trying to race us again.  What do people think?  Do they think?  They ended up having to slow down and fall in behind us.

Last time in West Virginia. : )
Maryland!

That’s it for the drive.

Rocky Gap State Park, Flintstown, Maryland

This is our turn.
Driving to the campground

After we set up, we took a walk around our campground loop and a bit along the lake.

Isn’t this pretty?!? They’re growing all around our site!
When Blaine used his app on it, it says it has berries similar to black and red raspberries.
We didn’t see any berries though. : (
Awwww . . . . : )

It’s quite woodsy here!  Very quite, and very dark.  And of course, no possibility of using our satellite dish.  That’s okay.  We have things recorded if we want to watch something.  Poor Blaine will have to find his weather and news on another venue.  ☹
