With a large army he (Antiochus IV Epiphanes) will stir up his strength and courage against the king of the South (Ptolemy VI Philometer). The king of the South will wage war with a large and very powerful army, but he will not be able to stand because of the plots devised against him. Those who eat from the king’s provisions will try to destroy him; his army will be swept away, and many will fall in battle. ~ Daniel 11:25-26
- In 170BC, Epiphanes invaded Egypt and for a short time, and overthrew Philometer until Rome intervened (Yes, we went back in time a bit, before Philometer died in 145BC)
We ran errands this morning, which Blaine mapped out perfectly! UPS would’ve been proud of all his right turns! Did you know that UPS routes their delivery trucks to make right turns? A little-known fact we picked up when we became friends with a driver supervisor. 😊
This afternoon, we went for a walk, sort of in search of lemons.
We eventually found lemons and loaded up Blaine’s pack! They had some pretty thick rind on them, making it a bit of a challenge to roll them for juice, but the finished product was delicious! Those 6 lemons (I cut one up to drop into water and tea) and two oranges (which were too sour to eat), made 4-cups of fresh-squeezed, delicious lemonade!
And that’s it for today!
