Career Aspirations 08/29/19

Wassawki Springs Campground, Scarborough, Maine

Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.  ~ Proverbs 13:10

I don’t have very much to share today.  We moved 111 miles in two hours to our new spot outside of Boston.  Really the only issue we had today were the extremely short on-ramps that many cars decided were just long enough to pull out in front of us, probably expecting Blaine to slam on the brakes and stop for them.  Unfortunately, it just doesn’t work that way.  When traveling at 55mph, we need about 500’ to stop.  One pick-up was within inches of getting demolished as he came flying on and cut in front of us, instead of easing in behind us.  Our guardian angel was working overtime today!

We were ready to be done today, but this guy was in no hurry. : )
That’s us!

Boston Minutemen Campground, Littleton, Massachusetts

This campground escorts you to your site.

Probably because it’s really confusing in here.  But when we arrived at the right spot, we bottomed out in front and Blaine had to stop.  There’s a small dip that caught us.  So the escort took off, we unhooked the Jeep and Blaine backed the coach up and tried moving over a bit.  When that didn’t work, he tried moving the other way and we were finally able to get parked.  But then he had to wiggle around a bit to get set where our slide would work without hitting a tree.

Two of our grandsons started school today!  The very excited 9-year-old Cody and 8-year-old Max both entered third grade today.  According to their mother’s first-day-of-school interview, Cody would like to be a pizza maker/deliverer when he grows up, and Max an author of chapter books.  Good aspirations, boys!  But if I know kids, that will most likely change as they grow.  I know our boys changed careers several times – both in and out of school.  😊

Cody and Max, Cody’s older, Max is taller : )

Their older brother, Alex starts school tomorrow.  Wonder what his interview will reveal?  Thanks for the pictures and updates, Jessica!
