Exploring Pays Off 04/28/20

Homolovi State Park, Winslow, Arizona

Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.  ~ Proverbs 23:5

Good morning, Winslow!
And our former site.
The new people finally showed up last evening.

Today was only really exciting for Blaine.

I went out early this morning and walked a couple of miles as I talked with my mom, and discovered a rainbow in my home that I have no idea where it came from – we’ve never seen it before, and I couldn’t figure out what caused it.

After I returned from my walk, Blaine took off on his bike and went exploring.

Do you remember that Jeep road we checked out the other day?  The one that was short and ended with a gate and fence at the end?  Well, he rode his bike back down there, parked and checked out the rock hills, and what he discovered wasn’t on the Park map!

Petroglyphs!

Once he got to rooting around, he found signs to mark them, but they would’ve gone undiscovered if not for his yearning to explore.

The guardians are keeping an eye on him. : )

And that’s it for today.
