A Weekend with Alex

Terri’s birthday weekend (July 29-31), we took our oldest grandson (9yrs old), Alex to Punderson State Park.  It was a planned weekend as a reward for finishing the school year well.

On the way. Alex claimed the navigator position while Grandma was relegated to the couch.

He acclimated quickly to the RV lifestyle – footrest and all.  : )

And then the freedom to ride all over the campground – unsupervised even!

Besides biking, we kayaked . . .

We started with Grandma in the front and Grandpa steering, but Alex wanted to give it a try. Fortunately for Grandma, he gave up quickly.  : )

Alex enjoyed paddling - for a bit

We pulled up to a beach to switch and let Alex play in the lake.  As you can see, he enjoyed that too!

To quote someone else, we enjoy ‘glamping’!  (Note the tower fan)

Breakfast!

Besides biking and kayaking, we also went on a couple of hikes.

And of course, there was eating!  Alex made this himself – and ate two of them!  Besides chips and baked beans!  Just like his dad, Chris used to do!  No saving on groceries in the Peck family!!IMG_0200

In this family, Sunday morning is always church (in some form).  This week’s lesson – – Moses.  And his anger issues.

"Church" on Sunday.

It’ll probably be a bit before we post again.  The sticks and bricks place goes on the market right after Labor Day.

So, until our next adventure . . . .
