Where’s The Fresnel?     9/27/18

Maumee Bay State Park, Oregon, Ohio

I will sing a new song to You, O God!  Psalm 144:9a

I keep forgetting to mention that we bought a second laptop computer the other day.  The one I was using, developed a mind of its own, and was a constant source of frustration.  Blaine eventually got tired of listening to my heavy sighs, and bought me a new one.  It’s taken us a while to get it set up and ready to go because neither of us are particularly good at that kind of thing, but praise God, He gave Blaine a mind to figure out stuff!  So, as of this morning, I’m good to go!  And even as I type this, I keep waiting for words to disappear.  But so far, so good!  I’m certain I’ll adapt quickly.  😊

And now, any errors will be mine and mine alone.  No passing the buck to the computer anymore.  Darn!

We spent the morning looking like a couple of techies, both of us glued to our laptops.

But then, we headed out on our bikes and toured a different path, before heading back over by the lodge, where we took a look around.

More intricate beauty!

That tower’s so tall, it makes me look like a midget! : )

This was a really pretty willow tree on the lodge property.

I know it’s domestic, but it’s still beautiful!
And still God-made!

The lodge here is more contemporary than wilderness.

A beautiful quilt!

We couldn’t get in there, but they have it decorated really nice!

And right across from the pool is this play area.
The sky continues onto the ceiling.
Also very nice!

There’s supposed to be a 3 ½ Fresnel lens there that you can view 24/7, but we didn’t see it.  It was probably hiding in plain sight.  At any rate, I got these pictures of the Toledo Lighthouse that was built in 1904.  Too bad we can’t visit it!  Sounds interesting!

I took this picture of a picture they had in the gift shop.
That’s the Toledo lighthouse, but just look at the ship that sailed close!
Great picture!

I’m putting in two of these because of the glare.
Maybe one or the other – or both – are better for you to read.
If you’re so inclined.

These were in front of the cottages – what Blaine determined was on the wrong side of the road.
So he rode around the drive and herded them across the street to the woods.

It was cool to hear their little hooves on the pavement. : )

We probably rode about 12-14 miles today.  A little cooler today, which was nice, but our bums still get sore after a while.  And the reason for that?  Apparently, according to what I researched, we don’t stand up enough.  We’ll have to try and change that. . . .

After dinner, Blaine took off for parts unknown.  I did not.

And that’s about it for the day.  We’ve not been inclined to do much lately.  I think we’re trying to store energy for October.  😊

Another gorgeous sunset from our yard!

Blaine stood on the picnic table for most of these.
We kept running in and out the door to check it out. : )

Blaine says the coach is dirty, but how bad can it be if it can still carry that kind of reflection!

Shoulda stopped with the last picture. : )
