Today’s a special Someone’s Birthday 07/31/20

Today is Terri’s Birthday, so that means I get to write the post for today! First off, I did much better this year at gathering pictures. It will help me to share who this beautiful, loving , adventurous girl is. But I assure you, I am nowhere near the writer that she is.

I tell Terri she’s like Mary Poppins, practically perfect in every way. She is a very loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She is an excellent Bible scholar, and is always eager to share her faith and love in Christ.

I think it’s some kind of training girls get, learning to talk on the phone.
Looks like her sassy side is starting to show.
I tell her she has a younger brother that looks just like that.
A parade in Virginia where she lived for a while.
Looks like the awkward, early teen years.
The teenager with an “attitude” look.
She was a showgirl in a high school musical.
Her senior class picture.

Halloween was always a big deal. And she liked to dress up in elaborate costumes.
We were Raggedy Ann and Andy, the year before we were married.
Ellie Mae Clampet
She likes to dress up in a normal way also. She looks pretty good, if I do say so myself.
She is a very loving mom to our two sons, and our six grandkids.
Here she is playing with some kids on a mission trip to Ecuador
Working on a mission trip in Guatemala
Terri and I both have always had a very adventurous spirit. We love to wander and experience new and exciting places. We started out our early travels with a motorcycle and a pup tent!
She’s always eager to try something new, whether zip lining through a forest, climbing a tall mountain, or snorkeling in the ocean.

Snorkeling in Hawaii
Terri has a found love of animals and any form of wildlife.
We’ve had a few bumps, along the way. But God has so richly blessed us in our lives.
It’s true. You need to stop and smell the flowers at every possibility.
She seems to always put up with my teasing.
On our trip to Alaska in 2005, we rented a motor home for two weeks. I knew then, that was how I wanted to spend my retirement. I asked Terri if she thought she could live on the road. She looked at me like I had three heads, and that was the craziest idea ever.
But over the next few years, with lots of research, planning, and discussing. We knew that this would be the life for us. We are so blessed to have each other to share this journey together. And now we wouldn’t have it any other way. We so much enjoy each and every day of our life of travel.

Happy Birthday Sweetheart, the love of my life!
