His (Seleucus II Callinicus’s) sons (Seleucus III Ceraunus & Antiochus III The Great) will prepare for war and assemble a great army, which will sweep on like an irresistible flood and carry the battle as far as his fortress. ~ Daniel 11:10

Seleucus III Ceraunus – North

  1. Ceraunus ruled 226-223BC

It took us three hours and 180-miles to get to this glorious State Park that contains plenty of difficult hikes to keep us occupied during the time we were here. It’s a canyon, after all

The road to the campground was VERY interesting! YIKES!!
We made it! Yay!!

Cloudland Canyon State Park, Rising Fawn, Georgia

There’s not a lot to talk about, but there are plenty of pictures. Besides, I’m trying desperately to get caught up. 😊

Oh!  Wait!  Before we put on our boots and grab our sticks (I refuse to call them canes!), I received pictures from my cousin who had to have an enormous oak tree removed.  It’s a long and nearly unbelievable tale I won’t get into, suffice to say a previous owner had a deck built and they put the deck supports right through the roots of the tree and killed it.

OK.  Now we’re ready to explore the canyon.

We couldn’t figure out what that “bar” says. . . .
There are still some Fall colors around here!
The lengths we go to in order to bring you some of our pictures. : )
This is the picture he took.
That’s only a very small portion.
900′ down and another 900′ back up!
Look! It’s Bigfoot! : )
The view that goes with the sign.
Yes, it’s sunny, but COLD!
We didn’t seem to notice when we’re climbing back up though. lol

Can you hear the huffing-puffing-out-of-breath sounds?

While we spent our time here, and my cousin had a tree removed, my Mom visited them and was taken to the OSU/Maryland game where they froze just like we did in Georgia!  And we received pictures from home as well.

That’s my cousin Ed in the foreground, then my mom, then Ed’s son,
Tyler who sponsored this endeavor for the joy of sharing it with my mom. So sweet!
Soooo much like Blaine and Chris were!
Matthew helps out his mom, Elise in the kitchen, too!
